Time flies when you're having fun.

Ten months between blog entries ... whoops.

A few days after my final post last year, my world was flipped upside down and then right-side up again, and then sideways in a bold new direction.

Immediately after that last post I had lost confidence in my ability to find an agent, get the book published, and many other things. I was living at home with my parents in Tennessee at the time and, as a 25 year old Stanford alum without a girlfriend or a real job, I knew something had to change. I sat at the foot of my mom's bed that evening and asked her, my most trusted advisor, "What am I going to do with my life?"

Her wisdom could not have been more perfect or well-timed.

She said, "Shaun, you shouldn't force it to happen. Don't try to break the wall down. But, when a door does open, run through it!"

The next evening I received a voicemail from a recruiter at my current day job. She asked if I wanted to interview for a new position they had just created and for which they thought I might be a good fit.

Two weeks later I was on a plane back to California to start this new job. Six weeks after that I was on a plane to Washington D.C. and my new-new life.

I put "Dreaming" on the back burner, and rightly so, because the last ten months have been some of the most exciting in my life. I have found a dream job - one that I am both good at and that satisfies me. I have also found a world of amazing new adventures in an incredible new city filled with people, places and experiences that I never would have dreamed would make me happy.

Long story short (and published), I finally got around to pulling "Dreaming" back up to a front burner a couple of months ago and am very pleased with the result. A special thanks to CreateSpace and my editor Joanne for all of their help along the way!

My book went live on Amazon a couple of weeks ago and my readers began to receive their copies just a few days ago...

Really, search for "Dreaming Shaun Phillips" and you'll see!

So that's it, it's done! My book has been published and is out in the world.

No taking it back.

I wouldn't dream of it.
